Our 2014 holiday program “Carols Rare and Bright” was performed in Long Beach and Pasadena, CA. Our performers were baritones Bernardo Bermudez and Anthony Moreno, sopranos Ariel Pisturino and Susan Mohini Kane, tenor and Spacious Vision director Gerald Seminatore, and pianist Kristof van Grysperre, Associate Conductor at the Long Beach Opera. This was the second Spacious Vision program for both Ariel and Kristof.
The program included a selection of rare solo songs and carols for the holiday season, including:
J.S. Bach, selected songs from “Schmelli’s Musical Songbook”
Songs by Max Reger and Hugo Wolf
Songs by Benjamin Britten, Peter Warlock, and Ralph Vaughn Williams
Villancicos by Joaquin Rodrigo and Juan Plaza
Carols by Alfred Burt

Our audiences were engaged and enthusiastic, and the performers were received with sustained applause and standing ovations. The concert was also broadcast online via the Concert Window platform.
It seems likely that a new version of the program will return for Christmas in 2015!
